A
Heros Stuff
Not a Saint, nor a Lord with blue
blood, and even less a violent man. He played the justicier,
revolver to the fist, he browsed the globe, but inside looking
for his own quest, and writing his own novel, the narration
of a life well but sometimes
full of pain. There are the paradoxes of the talent,
the faith and the luck. A script built custom-made, like his
impeccable costumes, for Roger Moore, one of the actors the
most underestimated of his generation. Often excessively
badly employed and yet so inescapable, and so brilliant.
Blinded by the charm and the humor
of this justicier, I should have waited until to be 34 years
old to find the truth beyond the appearance, and to be far
from the agitations of adolescence to give a true tribute
to this sensitive and intelligent man. In 1991 he decided
to give a new dimension and a new sense to his man's
life becoming involved by the UNICEF as goodwill Ambassador.
He
is accomplishing
this mission with the class and the intelligence that characterize
his personality.
With
Alan also an sincere admirer of Roger I wish to share the
wealth of the one that will remain known mostly surely but
wrongly as the third 007 in the history of the movies.
Prosaic, realist, materialistic,
this Roger has since caressed the unbridle lightness of being.
ES muss sein, said Wagner to his hero.
His destiny is here, even though life is elsewhere. Rather
call it Moore, Roger Moore.
