The Queen met 007s past and present at the Royal premiere of the new Bond film, "Die Another Day". Four of the actors who have had a licence to thrill over the years attended the glittering event at London's Royal Albert Hall.

Current Bond Pierce Brosnan was joined by George Lazenby, Timothy Dalton and Roger Moore at the premiere which also marked the 40th anniversary of 007. It is the first time the Royal Albert Hall has played host to a Royal premiere and the venue was transformed into an ice palace for the occasion, echoing one of the themes from the film.

Another star from the movie who attended was Halle Berry wearing a black and white Oscar de la Renta gown. Berry said: "People love James Bond - men want to be him and women want to be with him. I didn't know how big Bond was until I became a part of it and it's absolutely thrilling." Judi Dench, John Cleese, Rosamund Pike and Madonna also attended the event. Former Bond girls Maud Adams and Fiona Fullerton were also at the screening along with Shirley Bassey and Richard Kiel who played "Jaws".

The Queen arrived wearing a white shawl over a gold-embossed gown, and met four of the five actors who have played the role of one of cinema's most enduring heroes. When introduced to Pierce Brosnan the new film's star, she said: "So you're the modern Bond, are you? I've just met the other three downstairs."
