Former James Bond actor Roger Moore is hoping to return to the spy series as a villain.

The 77-year-old star, who appeared in seven movies as 007 including the 1977 classic The Spy Who Loved Me, wants to make an appearance in an eighth Bond movie as a bad guy who is immobile and remains unseen.

Moore says: "I would love to be a villain who is confined to bed, wrapped in bandages, so that I wouldn't have to appear. I'd just phone my part in."
