Dear Sir Roger, thanks a lot for your generous to answer the questions of the fans in the world. In this year 2008, the TV series IVANHOE celebrates 50 years (Happy Anniversary). I fd that Robert Brown was your fellow adventures in this production. Mr. Brown is maybe the actor who worked with you in more films and TV episodes, the last film together was “A view to a kill” (Mr. Brown had the role of “M”).
Which are your memories about Mr. Robert Brown and those days of Ivanhoe? Thank you. Hasta pronto.

Hi Bogota

Bob and his wife Becky were great friends. I first worked with him, as you say, in Ivanhoe and then we did The Saint and finally Bond together. Bob was a great giggler and often set me off too, much to the annoyance of directors. We shared the same childish sense of humour.

I believe there is talk about releasing Ivanhoe on DVD this year

Dear Sir Roger,

I think it was in May 2003 when you shocked everyone by collapsing on that New York stage and consequently got fitted a pacemaker.

I would like to ask you how you feel today, 5 years later. Does living with a pacemaker influence your life very much? Do you notice it always or are there days when you simply don’t think about it at all?

Anyway, I hope that thing will keep ticking endlessly…

Best wishes

Martin

Hi Martin

I have to remember to keep changing the batteries!

Aside from not walking through metal detectors at airports, the pacemaker has not had any real impact on my life. I feel absolutely fine with it and rarely think about it.

My father had one for many years, and he lived to a ripe old age.

Dear Sir Roger,

At first, let me say thank you for answering my question about UNICEF in Germany in February.

Here's my question for this month:

Some time ago, I found a little video on Youtube which shows a young man in a pool in Kavos. And in the background - well, there was you! You, dressed in a white shirt and grey shorts, were sitting at the bar when a lady approached you and you were talking about your shoes. Or the floor... Funny little scene. Had you seen this video? Do you mind people photographing and filming you and putting those scenes up on the internet? Would you consider to press charges, or do you just accept this as being part of your fame? Where do you think is the line not to be crossed by those hobby paparazzi?

Thanks, and best wishes,

Nell

Hello Nell

Well, I realised a long time ago that being recognised in public is all part of the job. I don't mind, though would appreciate people being sensible. It's one thing taking a snap shot, it's another if they film a private conversation or me eating a meal for example. I'll always happily pose for a photograph and autograph if I have time.

I haven't seen the video you mention, byt have arranged for 'the boys'to call around.

Dear Sir Roger,I just wondered what is your recollection of not presenting the academy award to Marlon Brando for the Godfather but instead to Sacheen Mayfeather and the resultant indian rights controversy.
Were you prepared for this and how does it feel to be part of such a moment in Oscar history?
Best Wishes,
Oliver

Hi Oliver

Well I've written a whole page on that in my book, so can't repeat too much here. I thought it was a joke at first, but then it dawned on me it wasn't!

I've never won one myself, but at least I can say I got to take Marlon Brando's home with ! me

Dear Sir Roger:
What is the most important lesson your parents taught you while you were growing up and why? Have you taught that lesson to your own children?

Regards,
Mateo

Hi Mateo

They taught me many important things: love, respect, humility, honesty and how lucky I was. I hope I've managed to pass some of those on to my children.

Will you be doing any promotional tours/interviews such as The Larry King Show to promote your book coming out later this year?

Regards,

Carolina

Hi Carolina

Oh yes, I'll be like a cheap suit - all over everything!

I'll be in the UK, then Paris, then New York and then its off to Australia and New Zealand for promotion. I'm not sure I'll be on Larry King, as I'm only going to be on the east coat of the US, but I'll certainly be plugging my book wherever I can. I'm a bit of ponce like that you see!

Pre order the book from Amazon UK here or Amazon..com here
