Alan Davidson = Blue.
Hello Alan, before we begin
how is his Lordship?

Roger was on television last
week and it went very well and I think he is preparing to go to
India for UNICEF.
OK what is "HER"
first name says Tony joking.
Tony I know that's wonderful,
how long will he be gone?
I'm not sure. Tony how are
things there with you ?
Everything is wonderful here,
the weather is good. We live in Las Vegas, in the desert so we've
not had any of those dilemmas and problems that has been going
on in America on the east coast and the West Coast, so we are
lucky.
Very good Tony you don't
want the hurricanes.
No Wow it has been something.
Q 1 First
question is from Deborah. Being a talented artist Tony you must
have painted hundreds of
paintings,
do you keep any inventory?
Yes there's a photographic
record of all the paintings kept in a file system so I've got
an idea where the paintings are, and which ones I've done. Not
all of them, but most of them. So it's a pleasure for me and there
are over a couple of thousand.
Wow do you have a personal
favorite?
I love them all, like I love
my movies but particularly I loved The Persuaders.

Q
2 The next question is from Pauline. Elvis
Presley fashioned his stylish dark hair style on yours in the
1950s did you ever meet Elvis Presley?

Yes Elvis and I were friends
we knew each other and saw each other approximately half a dozen
times. This was at parties and big events, and about three or
four of these would have been in Las Vegas, where Elvis was at
the time, and so was I. I really enjoyed meeting him we weren't
exactly chums, but we had a nice relationship.
Q3
Jennifer asked you have promoted Hungarian tourism recently; did
you enjoy visiting
the country of Hungary?
Yes I did it was so interesting.
It was where my father was born, and the environment in which
he lived in. I was able to trace the beginnings of where I came
from. I realised then how many different generations I had come
from.
I knew about you and Hungary
because I read your excellent 1995 biography which is one of my
favorites.

Q
4 Jonathan asked, which directors did you enjoy
working with the most?
There are two or three of
them. The director I enjoyed a great deal, I enjoyed his company
as well as his ability to work was Dick Quine. I did some early
pictures with him. After that Stanley Kubrick
( who directed Tony in Spartacus )and also Carol Reed who
I did Trapeze with. Also Vincent Minnelli
(
who directed Tony in Goodbye Charlie 1964) who I liked
very much. I've worked with some very excellent directors, and
was happy to do so.

Q
5 Mary asked when you were on the stage version
of Some Like It Hot did you enjoy the
experience.

The experience was difficult,
we were moving every night to a different city, so I found the
experience, very difficult. I enjoy being in front of an audience
and perhaps if I were to do a play again I would do a play in
just one city, and I would enjoy that more.

Now listen when you see his
Lordship, I mean Lord Sinclair, you must give him a hug and if
it doesn't bother you a kiss on the cheek. And please tell him
I hope he is well and I think of him a lot. And The Persuaders
have not separated we have not been in the same car. When Roger
goes to India, tell him I was born there and if he inquires there
somebody could show him the house where I came from.
And Alan, could you pass my
best wishes to all our friends and we will speak again soon, keep
in touch my friend we will work together well I'm sure".
Tony Curtis.
